Been Busy with Longmeadow – the new BOM

I’ve been having a ball these last few days planning out the new BOM which is tentatively titled “Longmeadow” which will debut maybe in November, maybe in January.  It’s a bright and lovely, very happy quilt and it’s been a joy to design!  I thought I’d post color swatches of those used in the quilt to give you all a heads up.  I can’t wait to share the new design with you and hope it will be received well.

Now that we’re reaching Autumn, it seems like a good time to review goals I set at the beginning of the year.  Well, I’m nowhere near as accomplished as I’d hoped to be by this time, but I am a fair way to completing some of my goals (or at least portions of those goals – lol).  I can see where I wasted a lot of time watching TV that could have been used more industriously. But for the most part it’s been a good balance of work and play. That said,  I’m addicted to Korean dramas, which are like American programs except they only run for about 16 episodes.  It’s really lovely, because you get the whole story: Beginning, Middle, and End with no cliffhangers as the seasons change.  For the most part, they are very sweet and a whole lot of fun!  I enjoy reading, so the subtitles don’t bother me at all.  And it’s been fun to learn a little Korean.  I don’t know enough to converse by any stretch of the imagination, but a word here and there, and I’m content.

I hope Summer has been good to you all!  It’s been very good to me.  We’re in love with our new place out in the middle of nowhere.  It really has been great!

Take care,

Christy

Oh, a place out in the middle of nowhere sounds perfect to me! I’m glad you have that peaceful spot. Oh my gosh, I love Korean dramas! My son and I watched Dr. Jin and I hated when it ended. LOL Thanks for the update on Longmeadow. Love the colors.

My son and I love Korean dramas for the same reason you do. The only down side is you have to read the sub titles so can not hand sew.

That’s true, Penny, but it doesn’t stop me. I just watch the ones I’ve seen a million times and practically know by heart. lol
